Rushee’s first year at Africa Oye was a huge success! Africa Oyé, the UK’s largest free celebration of African music and culture takes place annually in Liverpool. Beginning in 1992 as a series of small gigs in the city centre. RuShee provided bespoke Henna and Body Art, Sparkle Lips, along with unique vintage Indian accessories at the event. RuShee teamed up with Eighteen Forever fashion to create some unique and quirky looks which incorporated African printed ethical garments with Bold Body Art inspired by traditional Indian Henna Painting.
Eighteen Forever started as a fashion blog in 2012. The blog exhibits new fashion trends, personal styles and, promotes fashion events within the UK. The blog also shares bright colour fashion and statement pieces through personal styles. The blog was nominated for BEFFTA Awards and Black Weblogs Awards 2012 for Fashion Blog of the Year.
In 2013, Eighteen Forever launched its printed ethical fashion collection. The collection is created with a social aim that is- to create sustainable income for those in developing communities with sewing skills through fashion design.read more
